FAQs
A clearer place to start.
Common questions about working with SBS and preparing your first conversation.
Talk about your practice ↗
Do we need to change systems?
Not necessarily. SBS starts with your current workflow and discusses an appropriate path for your practice. System access, responsibilities, and any changes should be agreed during scoping.
What services does SBS offer?
Virtual medical assistance, prior authorization support, CCM administration and program coordination, medical billing, revenue cycle management, credentialing and contracting, practice management, consulting and training, and compliance and audit support. Denial management and accounts receivable follow-up are also available as focused areas of discussion.
Can we start with one billing problem?
Yes. Start the conversation with the unresolved claims, aging balances, enrollment project, or workflow issue that needs attention. The appropriate scope is agreed after reviewing your needs.
Where is SBS based?
SBS is based at 7643 Gate Park Way, Suite 104, Jacksonville, FL 32256, supporting Jacksonville and Northeast Florida practices.
What should we prepare for an initial conversation?
A brief description of your practice, current workflow, services of interest, and the issues you want to resolve. The first inquiry should not contain patient records or protected health information.
Can SBS help with credentialing?
SBS supports enrollment coordination, CAQH information organization, recredentialing tracking, and payer contracting communication. Timing and requirements depend on the actual payer and provider project.
How are service fees determined?
Fees and scope need to be discussed directly with SBS. This website does not publish a price schedule or promise a particular reimbursement outcome.
How does the contact form work?
It prepares an email in your own email application. Review it and send it from there. If your email application does not open, contact info@specializedbillingservice.net or call (904) 887-1807.
How should we share records?
Use the first inquiry to discuss business needs only. Agree on an appropriate secure method with SBS before sharing patient or claim records.
